Steve “Guggs” Guggenheimer announced on his blog this morning that Microsoft has expanded its BizSpark Plus program for qualifying startups around the world.

The Corporate Vice President of Developer Platform & Evangelism and Chief Evangelist for Microsoft outlined the details of the program in a blog post, which described Microsoft will be working with top global incubators and accelerators — including HIGHLINE — to offer startups with up to $120,000/year of free Azure cloud services.

“We have spent a tremendous amount of time listening to better understand what startups need to be successful,” Guggenheimer wrote. “From deeper support for open source technologies and tools on Azure to running and managing 7 accelerators in 7 countries, via our Microsoft Ventures programs, we’re taking the feedback to heart. If you’re interested in taking part in this program, we encourage you to reach out to your local accelerator to see if you qualify and visit Microsoft.com/startups to learn more about the program.”
